The GI Cancers Alliance was founded by The Ruesch Center for the Cure of Gastrointestinal Cancers in 2015. The Alliance is a coalition of organizations working together to address the needs of patients with GI cancers.

 A stronger, more unified voice to fight gastrointestinal cancers, which collectively make up the most common and deadliest type of cancers. The patient voice is central in addressing unmet needs in screening, awareness and treatment.
The GI Cancers Alliance works to raise awareness, provide education and advocate to prevent, treat and cure gastrointestinal cancers through a collaboration between advocacy groups, industry and institutional partners.
Meet The Team
  1. Co-Chair
    John Hopper
    John Hopper has built a well-respected healthcare and patient advocate thought leader reputation through over 30 years in corporate, venture capital and nonprofit C-suite positions. Besides his current role as Co-chair of the GI Cancers Alliance, John helps lead two important rare cancer foundations as President of the Fibrolamellar Cancer Foundation and board director/executive committee member of the National Pancreas Foundation.

    Martha Raymond
    Martha Raymond serves as the Co-Chair of the GI Cancers Alliance, is the Founder/CEO of The Raymond Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit gastrointestinal cancer advocacy organization, and is the Executive Director/CEO of Michael's Mission. For over twenty-five years, Martha has been a passionate and active advocate for GI cancer education, prevention, outreach and awareness and is a frequent speaker, faculty member, author and moderator for numerous national conferences and symposiums.
