GI Cancers Alliance, founded in 2015, is a global organization representing the gastrointestinal cancer community. It unites patient advocacy groups and collaborates with stakeholders to address unmet needs such as screening, awareness, and treatment.
GI cancers are the most common and deadliest type of cancer, responsible for 1 in 3 cancer deaths worldwide annually. The Alliance represents all GI cancers, including anal, appendix, bile duct, carcinoid tumors, colon, duodenal, esophagus, gastroesophageal junction, gallbladder, gastrointestinal stromal tumors, liver, pancreas, rectal, small intestine, and stomach cancers.
